RM of Carmichael’s story
The Rural Municipality of Carmichael No. 109 was incorporated as a rural municipality on December 9, 1912. It lies in southwestern Saskatchewan, in Census Division No. 4 and SARM Division No. 3.
Within its boundaries is the village of Carmichael, which is served by Highway 1, the Trans-Canada Highway. The unincorporated localities of Garden Head and Stone are also part of the RM.
Today the RM is run by an elected municipal council and an appointed administrator, who meet on the second Wednesday of every month. The RM office is located in Gull Lake.
